Camping is a separate system from day entry

Tomaree visitor-info (checked 26 Aug 2026) does not list a vehicle day-entry fee. Camping is a separate product: book Samurai only via official NPWS. Never treat it as an affiliate stay.

Access: 4WD via Gan Gan Road and the Samurai Beach access trail only, then designated camping behind the dunes. Do not camp on the beach. Do not drive on dunes. Max stay 7 days. Fires not permitted. Official page: no camping fee; a $6 booking fee applies.

Clothing-optional zoning and no facilities

Samurai Beach campground and nearby Samurai Beach are clothing-optional. Clothing is required in other areas, including the dunes and surrounding bushland behind Samurai and on One Mile Beach. The beachfront of Samurai is day-use only.

There are no toilets, showers, BBQs, drinking water or bins. Official bring-list includes a portable toilet. Book up to 12 people or 2 sites online. This site never sells the booking.

Coastal Walk overnight hinge

Official Day 1 of the 27 km walk ends around One Mile (~18 km, 7–8 hours). Village holiday parks (commercial) or a booked Samurai night are the two honest overnight stories. Walking through to Birubi the same afternoon after an 18 km day is how groups fail.

NPWS local alerts re-checked 12 Oct 2026 no longer list Kingsley Beach track works on the Coastal Walk between One Mile / Boat Harbour and Fishermans Bay. Follow signs if contractors are still on the track.
